Golden Empire Mineral Mining CC ( The Proponent), has applied to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and was granted the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 8189 on the 15 June 2020. However, the approval and granting of the EPL is subject to an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC), thus "pending ECC" status on the mining cadastre portal. The area of the EPL is 16 841.9961 ha, and is located within the Khorixas District, about 65 km north-west of Khorixas in the Kunene Region.

Renewal of the existing environmental clearance certificate for the capital and maintenance dredging of the Port of Lüderitz.
In 2018, NamPower obtained an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Vegetation Management at Van Eck - Omburu I and II Transmission line servitudes, Khomas and Otjozondjupa respectively. However, the other operational and maintenance activities were not included in the previous ECC which was issued. Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2012), the activity described as "The construction of facilities for the transmission and supply of electricity" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate.
The reason for the ECC is for the construction and operation of a fuel retail facility on Erf 38, Eheke Settlement, Ondangwa Rural Constituency, Oshana Region, Namibia.
