The previous ECC was issued on 12 April 2019 and has lapsed, hence application is made to renew this ECC. Only a 120m² portion of the erf will be closed, constituting 2.3% of the total Erf 1464 Hentiesbaai Ext 4 (5165 m²). The Remainder of Erf 1464 Hentiesbaai Ext 14 will remain open as a "Public Open Space".

The proponent intends to undertake the mining of dimension stones, on Mining Claim 69151 at Oroutumba Village, Swaartbooisdrift, Opuwo District, Kunene Region in an environmentally sustainable manner.

FORESTRY ACTIVITIES (4.) The clearance of forest areas, deforestation, a-forestation, timber harvesting or any other related activity that requires authorisation in term of the Forest Act, 2001 (Act No. 12 of 2001) or any other law.
The EPL is located within the Dorob National Park, but it is not located within any zone excluded for exploration. WASTE MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT, HANDLING AND DISPOSAL ACTIVITIES (2.1) The construction of facilities for waste sites, treatment of waste and disposal of waste (2.3) The import, processing, use and recycling, temporary storage, transit or export of waste. Waste generated which will be mainly solid waste and general waste during the exploration phase will be removed by a skip and will be disposed of at the nearest landfill site.

The Proponet Plans to conduct prospecting Exploratio activities, leading to the estimation and delineation of the target resources Prospecting and exploration form part of the listed activities under the Environmental Management Act (EMA)(2007) and the 2012 EIA 1. The constrcution of facilities for any process or activities which requires a license, right of other form of authorization (Propecting and Mining Act,1992). 2. Mining or extraction of any natural resources, whether regulated by law or not. 3. Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation, and reated activities.
Winplan needs to obtain clearance on a 120Ha ground within Rehoboth in order to continue with the flexible land tenure project. GIZ is funding the project in order to formalize existing settlements in Rehoboth by following guidelines of the Flexible Land Tenure Act.
The existing fuel retail facility has been in operation for over 5 years, without an environmental clearance certificate (ECC). The ECC application is done in order to comply with the requirements of the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007), and its regulations of 2012.
