Proposed prospecting and exploration activities are dimension stones, base and rare metals, industrial minerals and precious metals on the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) 8015, located near Uis, Erongo Region, Namibia.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2019 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the 400kV Auas - Kokerboom. NamPower would like to apply for the renewal of the 400kV Auas - Kokerboom in order to comply to the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

The applicant intends to mine industrial minerals and semi-precious stones from the mining claims. It is foreseen that the mining activities will include trenching and excavating. The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mineral exploration and mining activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. The proposed prospecting activities are listed in the Environmental Management Act, 2007, (Act No. 7 of 2007) and the EIA Regulations 30 of 2012 and cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).
The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kv Okapya – Oshakati Transmission Line and Oshakati Substation. The 66 kV Okapya – Oshakati transmission line and Oshakati substation was constructed prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development.
The ECC is for the Operation and Maintenance of Ruacana Power Station. Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the Operation of Ruacana Power station. The ECC will expire on 24 August 2023.

The Roads Authority recognizes the importance of establishing a good road network across rural areas. It is against this background that the authority proposes to upgrade the two gravel roads DR3507 Bukalo - Ngoma (60 km) and DR3559 Silumbi - Sizimbukwa (15 km) to Low Volume Seal Standards (Bitumen or tarred road). The total length of the two roads is approximately 75 km long and will form a vital link to the national road network, through the provision of access to communities living along the route.

Etango Petroleum Services is a bulk diesel supplier offering its products to truck owners. In addition, they own a weighbridge that is used by trucks to ensure correct load weights before proceeding to the Roads Authority checks. Diesel is sourced from Engen Namibia (Pty) Ltd. ENGEN Namibia (Pty) Ltd is a leading marketer of liquid fuels and lubricants in the country. The facilities have a valid Business Registration Certificate, while the existing Engen installations have a valid Petroleum Wholesale License approved by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
