Farpoint Investments (Pty) Ltd (The proponent) has been allocated a 2 Ha / 20,000 m2 portion of farm 38 by the Walvis Bay Municipality on a 5 years lease agreement to establish a stock-holding site for dimension stone (marble and granite) and copper concentrate. The proposed site (lease 18) is located on a portion of Farm 38, registration Division F, south of the C14/ M36 Main Road. The site is found on the south-east of Walvis Bay town, wedged between Farms 19, 29,33 and 37, Farm 19 .

The proponent, SA and B Global Resources (SA&B) intends to spearhead the establishment of the Namibia International Convention Centre in Windhoek. The proposed project will oversee the establishment different sub-projects as part of the development proposal. Phase 1 of the project entails: 1) Namibia International Convention Centre with a Wax Museum, Hall of Fame and Art Gallery; 2) 7- star hotel, and 4-star hotel 3) Shopping arcade. 4) ICT Hub 5) 5 Star Hotel.

The proposed consolidation will enable the subdivision of Consolidated Portion “X” into Portions A to J and the Remainder.

Farm Uithou No. 366 is a commercial beef production farm that has its productivity compromised by infestation of invader bush. The veld in most areas of the farm is degraded and is overgrown with undesirable bush encroachment species. Along with various other factors, this poses a serious threat to livestock farming. The farm owner reckons the importance of veld improvement through the introduction of bush control activities on the farm. The overall objective is to implement bush control measures on Farm Uithou to be able to maintain a relatively open area for livestock grazing.

Tsumeb municipality intends to operate and manage a new landfill site in Tsumeb. in line with the Environmental regulations (EMA), an assessment was undertaken and an application for Environmental Clearance Certificate must be submitted for consideration. The proposed site measures about 18 hectare of land and is situated a portion 79 of Tsumeb farmland.

Tsumeb municipality intends to decommission its current dumpsite situated near Kuvukiland informal settlement on portion 39 of farm Tsumeb measuring approximately 17 Hectare. In terms of the Environmental Regulations, this type of activity forms part of the listed activities and an Environmental Clearance Certificate application must be submitted in order to comply with the EMA requirements.

Oil Technology Namibia cc is a company that specializes in waste oil collection and recycling with its head office in Windhoek and collection depots in the north and south of Namibia and a processing facility in Windhoek. The proponent intends to establish and operate a waste oil temporary handling and storage facility on Erf 3373 located in Walvis Bay’s heavy industrial area. Bulk waste oil collected will be transported to the Windhoek processing facility for refining. There will be NO treatment, refining, or sale to take place on Erf 3373, Walvis Bay.
