Renewal application for: Windhoek PEL28 B.V. is proposing to drill one or possibly two exploration wells in PEL83. Windhoek PEL28 is a Joint Venture between the block partners, namely GALP Energia S.A. ("GALP"), the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) and Custos. GALP holds an 80% controlling interest in PEL 83, while NAMCOR and Custos each hold 10%. GALP is currently the operator of PEL 83. The proposed exploration wells would be drilled in PEL 83, which is located in the Orange Basin off the coast of Namibia.

The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of the 66kV Lorelei - Aurus line and Aurus substation. The 66 kV Lorelei - Aurus transmission line and Aurus substation was constructed prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kv Otjikoto - Tschudi transmission line and Tschudi substation in Oshikoto region. In 2015 NamPower received an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the for the for operation of the Otjikoto - Tschudi 66 kV transmission line in Oshikoto Region. The ECC has since expired. This renewal is further aimed at including the Tschudi Substation which was not included previously but it is a crucial associated infrastructure to this line.
The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 132kV Efundja - Ondjiva transmission in Ohangwena Region. In June 2022, NamPower submitted the same application to the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism. However, the ECC portal stopped working, Hard copies of the documents were submitted too. NamPower was recently requested to re-submit the application. In 2011, NamPower received an ECC for the proposed formerly 132 kV Onuno - Ondjiva transmission line. The line was later renamed to 132kV Efundja – Ondjiva transmission line. The ECC has since expired.
The Dr. Erastus Shapumba, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, intends to construct a shopping business complex to be named "Las Vegas City Center" consisting of retail shops, accommodation entertainment, hospitality, pharmacies, and recreational facilities as well as associated infrastructures. Given the fact that the proposed development site is located on an area which is prone to seasonal flooding, an earth dam will be constructed at the site to enable the harvesting of seasonal flood and rainwater for the benefit of the local community.

The ECC is required by the Proponent for the proposed 3D Seismic Survey covering Blocks 2713, 2712A, 2712B, 2812B, and 2812A and Portions of Blocks 2813B, 2813A, 2814B, 2714B, 2714A, 2614 2613, 2612A and 2612B, Orange and Lüderitz Basins, Offshore Southern Namibia. Water depths of the area of interest ranges from ca-500m to -4000m from east to west respectively. Seismic survey is a key tool that resources companies exploring for hydrocarbons (oil and natural gas) use to map the subsurface and kilometres below the ground on land (onshore) or in the sea (offshore).
The Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) is required by the Proponent for the Proposed Multiclient or Proprietary 3D Seismic Survey covering Blocks 1910B, 1910A, 2010A, 2011A, 2010B, 2011B, 2110B, 2110A, 2111A, 2111Bb, 2111Ba, and Parts of Blocks 1911, 1912B, 2012A, 2012B, 2112A, and, 2112B, Walvis Basin, Offshore Northcentral Namibia. The proposed survey area falls in water depths ranging from ca-500m to -4000m from east to west, respectively.
The ECC is required by the Proponent (Africa Huaxia Mining (Pty) Ltd) with respect to the proposed resumption of mining and exploration activities in the Mining Licence (ML) No. 168. Africa Huaxia Mining (Pty) Ltd holds base, rare metal and precious metals mineral rights over the Swartmodder Copper Mine situated in the Mining Licence (ML) No. 168. The ML 168 covering a total area of 10285.9 Ha, was granted on the 16th January 2011 and will expire on the 17th January 2026.
The ECC is required by the Proponent (Stoneheart Investments (Pty) Ltd) with respect to the proposed / ongoing minerals exploration activities in the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 4721, Rehoboth District, Hardap Region. Stoneheart Investments (Pty) Ltd (the Proponent) holds mineral rights for base and rare metals, dimension stone, industrial minerals, non-nuclear fuels minerals, precious metals and precious stones under the Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) No. 4721 granted on the 10/09/2011 and will expire on the 26/05/2024.
