Proposed construction of a base transceiver station and associated infrastructure for Paratus Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd on Erf 361 in Brakwater within the Khomas Region, Namibia. Listed activities triggered by the project include: Infrastructure (10.1.) The construction of: (g) Communication networks including towers, telecommunication, and marine telecommunication lines and cables. Construction of a base transceiver station and associated infrastructure (j) Masts of any material or type and of any height, including those used for telecommunication broadcasting and radio transmission.

This will help establish the thickness and depth consistency of the limestone deposits, as well as to identify structures (e.g. faults) which may be water bearing.

The aims and objectives of the project is to find an alternative/solution to the current practice of unregulated and informal disposal of general waste in the Kongola settlement.
Zambezi Regional Council intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate for their for upearthing the embankment of the Mpunkano Combined School Platform. The aim is to raise the platform of the school in order to increase the carrying capacity and prevent damage and disruptions of classrooms due to the flooding. BIB Mineral Resources (BIB) has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 4524, located approximately 5 km northwest of Uis Settlement, Erongo Region. EPL 4524 is approximately 24 751 Hectares (ha) in size. The land on which the EPL is located, belongs to the Daures Constituency and does not encompass any farm. Therefore, BIB intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to commence with their proposed exploration activities on EPL 4524.
The site was constructed in 2016; however construction activities could not be completed due to prolonged legal matters. The ECC application is for the operations of the facility. This is in line with the requirements of the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007), and its regulations of 2012.

The assessment covers the Lithium open pit mine and supporting infrastructures for the following developmental stages: Construction, operation, ongoing monitoring and rehabilitation, decommissioning, closure and aftercare. In the proposed project, Lithium will be mined from pegmatites using conventional open pit mining technique.

Preferred Land Development Holdings (The Proponent) proposes to construct a Sewage Treatment Plant at the Osona Village Development. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process will be conducted in accordance with the Regulations (2012) of the Environmental Management Act (7 of 2007) and it will form part of an application for the ECC for the activities.
This project was issued an environmental clearance certificate in 2015, however the construction phase was delayed due to financial constraints. The proponent intends on renewing the ECC in order to comply with EMA Act no7 of 2007 and its regulations of 2012.

The town of Lüderitz is served with a waste disposal site located about 2 km east of the town's Central Business District (CBD). The site has been operational for more than forty (40) years, but it does not have an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) nor does it have an Environmental Management Plan (EMP). In terms of the Environmental Management Act (EMA), Act No. 07 of 2007, all activities of Waste Management, Treatment, Handling and Disposal may not be carried out without an Environmental Clearance Certificate being obtained.
The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 33kV Nabas - Koes Powerline including the Nabas and Koes substations and other associated infrastructures. The 33kV Nabas - Koes line including the substations were constructed prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development.
To renew an ECC which was obtained the 30th November 2018 for an existing sand and gravel mine which is in operation and would like to continue in the future. The existing ECC Expires on the 30th November 2021.
