This application is for the renewal of an Existing ECC that was issued in 2017 but the project was never started due to budget constraints. The following information is relevant to the project: In line with the Environmental Management Act (No 7 of 2007), Enviro Management Consultants Namibia has been appointed by the proponent of the proposed Rehoboth Township Establishments to conduct the Environmental Scoping Assessment. It is the proponent’s intention to develop the project sites for residential and light industrial purposes.
A and B Logistics (Pty) Ltd ( the proponent) is well-established in the logistics industry in Namibia and the SADC region and boasts a strong presence in Namibia and Zambia. To enhance optimal land utilization at the Sikondo Green Scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform (MAWLR) proposes the development of perennial fruit orchards in the areas presently vacant among the center pivot irrigation infrastructure. Riverside Lodge is located in the Musanga area of Zambezi Region and is engaged in tourism and hospitality activities that involve providing accommodation and related leisure services to local and transient visitors. Tourism and hospitality are listed in the Annexure to the Schedule of Gazzete No. 29 of 2012 of the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007). The activity cannot be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) and therefore, Riverside Lodge is obliged to comply with the referred legislative requirements for its operations.

Management wish to comply as per EMP Management Act of 2007, Regulation No. 29 of 2012, Management is aware that they had neglected, i.e. after COVID 19, to request for renewal of their ECC of 2017 and to update their EMP. Dr E Klingelhoeffer was appointed as the EAP by Losange Lodges to assist in renewal of the ECC and to compile a new EMP on current observations made for Camp Kwando.
ECC is required for the continued operations of Atmei Construction Namibia's existing diesel wholesale facility in Rosh Pinah, //Kharas Region.
Tsandi Village Council is a district capital of Tsandi electoral constituency in Omusati region and has a population of approximately 26,834 inhabitants. It is situated along the main road MR123 (Outapi - Tsandi - Okahao). Tsandi is the residential place of the Uukwaluudhi Royal Homestead and is one of the oldest villages in the Uukwaluudhi kingdom. The town is served with oxidation pond system located about 1.7km northwest of the town CBD. The existing ponds were constructed in 2015 and were granted an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) which has since expired.

The purpose of the amendment is to obtain an amended ECC with updated conditions for B2Gold (Pty) Ltd's Otjikoto Gold Mine. Since the granting of the ECC for the Otjikoto Gold Mine, exploration has been undertaken on the existing mining licence, resulting in the discovery of a potential viable resource, the Antelope deposit, at an alternate location within the Mining Licence Boundary (ML169). As such, B2Gold intends to develop additional infrastructure to mine the newly discovered resource using underground mining methods to extract ore at depth.
The Walvis Bay Municipality offered Portions 30 to 35 on Farm 58 (east of Walvis Bay town) to Green Metals Refining Namibia (Pty) Ltd (GMRN) for their proposed manganese refinery and sulphuric acid plant project. The proposed Project has the following main components: Refinery: Manganese ore will undergo crushing, grinding, leaching with sulphuric acid, and purification, followed by crystallisation and drying. The process will generate tailings and liquid effluents, requiring proper management.
