Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2022, NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the 132kV Omatando - Efundja transmission line and would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 132kV Omatando - Efundja transmission line in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Mr Jasper Theron Uys, hereinafter referred to as the proponent is the owner of Mining Claims 69977, 69978 and 69979 and was issued with an Environmental Clearance Certificate (APP2905) for small mining activities of base and rare metals, industrial minerals, precious metals, and semi-precious stones. The proponent was issued with an ECC on 2022-11-15 and expired on 2025-11-15. To ensure due diligence and compliance with the Environmental Management Act 07 of 2007 and its Regulations of February 2012, the proponent intends to apply for the renewal of the expired ECC.
Meatco is a leading player in the meat processing industry and plays a vital role in the national and international meat market. The main Meatco operations involve the production, processing, value addition, and marketing of red meat and associated by-products. Meatco operates on a large scale with multiple facilities across the country and the Okapuka feedlot and tannery is one its largest facilities across the country.

In accordance with Section 27 of the Environmental Management Act, 2007 (Act No. 7 of 2007), the activity classified as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" is listed and therefore requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). NamPower obtained an ECC in 2022 for the management and operation of the 220kV transmission lines between Omburu - Van Eck, Van Eck – Osona, and Osona - Omburu.
The project involves the creation of a new street as part of the subdivision of Consolidated Portion A. Rather than retaining the site as a large single industrial erf for tenants for rental purposes only, the owner intends to subdivide the large industrial site into smaller portions for freehold title for industrial development, including the Erongo RED substation (to be transferred to Erongo RED), and a new public street which gives access to/from the newly subdivided portions.
There are currently two waste disposal sites in Oranjemund adjacent to each other. The old was supposed to be decommissioned but somehow still utilized by some and the new site that is still not under operation. The new proposed site (landfill site) is an upgrade from the old site and is served with modern facilities to handle proper waste landfilling such as the guardhouse, weigh bridge, sorting spaces, recycling cells, fencing.
LISTED ACTIVITY ESIA SCREENING FINDING TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES (6) The construction of resorts, lodges, hotels or other tourism and hospitality facilities. The Weener Lodge is fully operational. The lodge is a single high-end lounge and accommodation unit, which can accommodate thirteen (13) guests at full capacity. Other support infrastructure on the property includes a horse barn, workshop, a farmhouse for the Lodge manager and staff quarters for eight (8) lodge employees. The Proponent is required to register the establishment with the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB).

Evululuko is historically recognized as the oldest and most densely populated informal settlement within the operational jurisdiction of the Oshakati Town Council. Addressing the challenges of this area - specifically the lack of secured tenure, infrastructure, and essential municipal services - is a critical developmental priority.
The ECC is required for the purpose of rezoning Erven 1587 and 1589 at the corner of Kalahari Street and Roesener Road, Extension 8, Gobabis from 'undetermined' to 'business' with a bulk of 2.0. Erf 1587 measures 3 306 square meters while Erf 1589 measures 9 192 square meters.

A and B Logistics (Pty) Ltd ( the proponent) is well-established in the logistics industry in Namibia and the SADC region and boasts a strong presence in Namibia and Zambia. The proponent has extensive experience and expertise in international freight forwarding and handling, and has earned a reputation for their exceptional capability and capacity. The proponent operates a fleet of approximately 40 trucks used in the receipt, handling and transportation of various commodities, in particular Ammonium Nitrate.
This application is for the renewal of an Existing ECC that was issued in 2017 but the project was never started due to budget constraints. Riverside Lodge is located in the Musanga area of Zambezi Region and is engaged in tourism and hospitality activities that involve providing accommodation and related leisure services to local and transient visitors. Tourism and hospitality are listed in the Annexure to the Schedule of Gazzete No. 29 of 2012 of the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007). The activity cannot be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) and therefore, Riverside Lodge is obliged to comply with the referred legislative requirements for its operations.

Petrosol Petroleum Solutions CC (the Proponent) appointed Geo Pollution Technologies (Pty) Ltd (GPT) to undertake an environmental assessment for the construction and operations of a fuel retail facility at Elisenheim Lifestyle Estate, Windhoek. The environmental assessment is required in terms of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) of 2007 and will serve as guidance for the approval or refusal of an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) for its construction and operations.
To enhance optimal land utilization at the Sikondo Green Scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform (MAWLR) proposes the development of perennial fruit orchards in the areas presently vacant among the center pivot irrigation infrastructure. Recognizing that this initiative falls under the definition of a listed activity, the MAWLR will formally submit an application for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) prior to commencing the undertaking.
Management wish to comply as per EMP Management Act of 2007, Regulation No. 29 of 2012, Management is aware that they had neglected, i.e. after COVID 19, to request for renewal of their ECC of 2017 and to update their EMP. Dr E Klingelhoeffer was appointed as the EAP by Losange Lodges to assist in renewal of the ECC and to compile a new EMP on current observations made for Camp Kwando.
Penetrated Investment CC, is a fully registered company in Namibia with interest in the prospecting and mining of mineral ore such as Dimension Stone, Base and Rare Metal, Industrial Minerals and Precious Metals. The proposed exploration activities mainly consist of the following prospecting activities focused on operations: - Geological Geological mapping: this mainly entails a desktop review of geological area maps and ground observations. - Lithology geochemical surveys: rock samples shall be collected and taken for trace element analysis.
