Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2022, NamPower obtained an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the operation and maintenance of operation and maintenance of existing 220kv Walmund - Kuiseb and 132 Kuiseb - Walvis Bay 1 and 2 Transmission lines Including Kuiseb and Walmund Substations and other associated infrastructures in Erongo Region.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2022 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the operation and maintenance of the Gerus Transmission Station. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for the Gerus Transmission Station to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 66kV Otjikoto - Tsumeb transmission line to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for Keetmanshoop - Naute in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for 66kV Aranos - Stampriet to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. This transmission line runs from Aranos substation to Stampriet substation in Hardap region and is 76.9 km in length. The line is constructed with wooden H - Pole structures.

The 11kV Aus - Aus power line is 16.9 km in length.
