Abstract:

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for Groot Aub - Groot Aub and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Groot Aub - Groot Aub electrical reticulation route runs eastwards from the Groot Aub Substation, with T-Offs servicing various farms/businesses and households in Groot Aub along the route in Khomas region. The Groot Aub - Groot Aub electrical reticulation system has a total length of 25.7 km and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures.
