Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue of an ECC for Hoffnung - Kapps and Hoffnung - Hoffnung Farm Reticulation System Including NBC Indoor Substation and other associated Infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. This electrical reticulation system runs from Hoffnung Substation towards Kapps Farm with various supply points including farms and lodges in the general Hoffnung area in Khomas Region. The Hoffnung - Kapps Farm – Hoffnung electrical reticulation system has a total length 48.8 km and is constructed with wooden pole structures. This ECC includes NBC Indoor Substation, which covers a footprint of about 115 m².
