250717006136: The application for the Environmental Clearance for the operation and maintenance of an existing Aris - Aris electrical reticulation system including Aris Substation and other associated infrastructure
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for the operation and maintenance of the Aris - Aris electrical reticulation system and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Aris - Aris electrical reticulation system runs west and eastwards from the Aris Substation to the Peralin Paint and Crusher businesses west of the Aris Substation and east to the Farm Bouadei where the backbone for this line ends, with T-Offs servicing various farms in the general Aris area. The Aris - Aris reticulation line is 87.9 km in total length, and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures. This ECC includes Aris substation as indicated on the map. Aris substation covers a footprint of about 571 m².
