Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for Gobabis โ Gobabis and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Gobabis - Gobabis electrical reticulation route runs north-westwards, from the Gobabis Substation to the NDF Military Barracks and servicing numerous farms in the general west/northwest area of Gobabis in Omaheke region. The Gobabis - Gobabis electrical reticulation system has a total length of 71.6 km and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures.
