An ECC renewal application is being launched to permit the continuation of operations of the existing and operational Dimension Stone Processing Facility in Karibib, as well as the associated reclamation/ rehabilitation of an existing abandoned borrow pit within the Karibib Townlands. The reclamation and rehabilitation of the abandoned borrow pit shall be implemented using a combination of marble and granite dust/ sludge and natural soils . The current ECC is due to expire on 26 April 2022. An ECC renewal is therefore being launched to enable the current operations to continue.

ECC for Construction and operations of a truck port and filling station at B6 road, Trans Kalahari Highway, Gobabis in Omaheke Region.
The owner of the respective two erven wishes to conduct township establishment on both erven (Tamariskia Erven 673 and RE 540, Extension 2, Swakopmund). the proposed township establishment triggers certain listed activities as per the Environmental Regulations.
The proponent intends to renew the previously issued Environmental Clearance Certificate to continue with the operation of solar salt works on 10 mining claims 68129 - 68138 at Cape Cross, Erongo Region, Namibia in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Construction of a water pipeline section from the base pump station near Swakopmund to the C28 T-turn off. The proposed pipeline will follow the existing Lange Heinrich and Swakop Uranium Mine water pipelines from the base pump station near Swakopmund to the C28 T-turn off. Water supply for the Project is assumed to come from NamWater in the form of desalinated water for the processing and domestic requirements. The same pipeline corridor that is used for the Langer Heinrich and Swakop Uranium Mines will be utilised, branching off from the C28 Road to the Etango Project site.

The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 220kv Walmund - Kuiseb and 132 Kuiseb - Walvis bay 1 and 2 transmission lines including Kuiseb and Walmund substations. In December 20212, NamPower obtained an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the construction and operation of the following: Two new 132kV transmission lines from the Walvis Bay substation An additional 220kV transmission line between Kuiseb substation to the Walmund substation. The lines were constructed in order to strengthening the West Coast network to provide for future load growth.
