Listed activities triggered by the project include: LISTED ACTIVITY EIA SCREENING FINDING INFRASTRUCTURE (10.1) The construction of: (g) Communication networks including towers, telecommunication and marine telecommunication lines and cables. (j) Masts of any material or type of any height, including those used for telecommunication broadcasting and radio transmission. The operation and maintenance of a base transceiver station (BTS) and associated infrastructure. High-performance point-to-point microwave antenna and panel antenna forms part of the tower.

Exploration and small-scale mining/quarrying activities of base and rare metals by local communities in Kunene region plays a role in the regional economy. This application process for obtaining mining claims (MCs) for exploration and possibly small-scale mining/quarrying activities in the Kunene region involved several key steps and adherence to specific regulations. (i) Since MCs in Namibia are exclusively granted to Namibian natural persons (individuals) or companies that are majority-owned by Namibian citizens, Ayam Cenam Mining cc was first registered and is majority Namibian-owned.
LISTED ACTIVITY EIA SCREENING FINDING MINING AND QUARRYING ACTIVITIES (3.1) The construction of facilities for any process or activities which requires a licence, right or other forms of authorisation, and the renewal of a licence, right or other forms of authorisation, in terms of the Minerals (Prospecting and Mining Act), 1992. (3.2) Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not. To request for the renewal of ECC for Kazile Island Lodge to ensure that the Lodge complies to the EIA Act and Regulation of 2007. KAZILE ISLAND LODGE at KWANDO CORE AREA within BWABWATA NATIONAL PARK Kazile Island Lodge is one of African Monarch Lodges (AML), which is situated on the western banks of the Kwando River wetland ecosystem, within the Kwando Core Area of Bwabwata national Park (BNP).
Bonya Exploration (Pty) Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, holds mineral rights under Exclusive Prospective Licence (EPL) 6691 hereinafter referred to as the study area, located about 80 km southwest of Aus in Kharas region. EPL 6691 is registered for the following commodity groups: base and rare metals, dimension stones, industrial minerals, precious metals, precious stones, and semi-precious stones.

TVC was granted with an ECC for the construction, operation, and management of the dumpsite in 2018. The dumpsite is located within the TVC townlands, ±5km north of the D3616 road leading to Onesi from Tsandi. The site is used for the disposal of general household waste originating from houses, institutions, and businesses around town. The site is not gazetted for disposal of hazardous waste, hence all hazardous waste i.e., asbestos, waste oil, etc. generated in town is not allowed.
Tsandi Village Council has for years been conducting sand mining activities on Portion A of Tsandi town and townlands No. 988. The sand mining activities are done through an opencast mechanized mining project to excavate sand in its existing form for direct usage as a construction material for infrastructure development. The removed/mined out sand will be loaded directly into the truck/dumper and sent to buyers. The proponent was issued with an ECC in 2022 and had expired in July 2025. Tsandi Village Council intend to continue with the ongoing sand mining activities.
