The project involves conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment for the proposed establishment and operation of a date palm plantation and companion fruit trees on a 168 hectare parcel of land at Velloorsdrift Farm, within the Karasburg East Constituency, !Karas Region. The aim of the proposed establishment and operation of a date palm plantation and companion fruit trees, is to ensure food security and create employment opportunities to the local people.
