NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for the operation and maintenance of Nabas - Aroab and Nabas - Rietfontein electrical reticulation systems to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the maintenance and operation of the Stampriet - Glave reticulation system and associated infrastructures. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for Stampriet - Glave line to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

The Proponent Osino Namibia Minerals Exploration (Pty) Ltd is applying for Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) with respect to the proposed minerals exploration activities in the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 9926, Karibib District, Erongo Region, West Central Namibia. The Proponent intends to conduct exploration / prospecting activities starting with desktop studies including the processing and interpretation of the existing geophysical and other historical minerals exploration datasets, followed by regional field-based reconnaissance activities.
Enviro Management Consultants Namibia (EMCN) is appointed to undertake the Environmental Assessment relating to the proposed project - Direct Appointment of Element Consulting Engineers for the Design, Contract Documentation, Site Supervision and Contact Administration for Upgrading of Various Roads in Nkurenkuru - Kavango West Region. The Road Fund Administration together with the Nkurenkuru Town Council are funding this project which involves the upgrading of various roads within the Nkurenkuru Town.

2.3 Nature of Activity The Proponent intends to prospect and explore for mineral commodities (base & rare metals, industrial minerals, and precious metals) within the boundaries of the EPL. 2.4 Scale and Scope of the Activity The prospecting and exploration activities are considered small to slightly medium scale and will be limited within the specific site areas of the EPL. The activities will entail desktop study (mapping), sampling and trenching as well as exploration drilling, plus a re-assessment of existing and abandoned mine workings.

The Stampriet Village Council, the Proponent, has appointed Samson Mulonga to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and subsequent Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the drilling of a borehole at Stampriet, Hardap Region, Namibia. Under the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007) and its regulations of 2012, an EIA together with its accompanying EMP are required for the issuance of an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for listed activities, in this case: (a) Activity 8.1.
Significant developments recently have seen Engen and Vivo Energy combine to create a Pan-African Champion in the hydrocarbon industry. To this end Vivo Energy, a subsidiary of Vitol, has successfully completed the purchase of PETRONA' 74% shareholding in Engen Limited. These developments have resulted in VIVO Energy Divesting or Selling some of the sites that were previously Engen branded while others remain with the new entity to be converted to the VIVO branding. Other site owners have opted not to proceed with the Engen branding, but to rather engage the other optional fuel suppliers.
