Abstract:

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for 66kV Aus - Aus to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The 11kV Aus - Aus power line is 16.9 km in length. The 11kV Aus - Aus power line starts from Aus Substation and runs southwards past Aus supplying electricity to various supply points such as Klein Aus Vista Lodge; MTC tower, TransNamib and other places around Aus in the //Kharas region. The line is constructed with wooden pole structures.
