The environmental assessment is required in terms of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) of 2007 and will serve as guidance for the approval or refusal of an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) for its construction and operations.

To enhance optimal land utilization at the Sikondo Green Scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform (MAWLR) proposes the development of perennial fruit orchards in the areas presently vacant among the center pivot irrigation infrastructure. Tsandi Village Council is a district capital of Tsandi electoral constituency in Omusati region and has a population of approximately 26,834 inhabitants.
