Lotus Resources Limited (Lotus) is an ASX-listed uranium development company headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, with significant uranium resources and development activities. Lotus holds an 85% interest in the Kayelekera Uranium Project (KM) in Malawi through its subsidiary, Lotus Africa Limited (LAL), with the remaining 15% interest held by the Government of Malawi.

Puma Energy (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd requested Geo Pollution Technologies (Pty) Ltd to undertake an environmental assessment for an existing fuel retail facility situated on erf 225, Opuwo. The facility supplies diesel and unleaded petrol from underground storage tanks via dispensers on a forecourt area. To comply with South African National Standards, the Proponent plans to refurbish the facility. Once complete, the facility will supply fuel via dispensers in a forecourt area from three underground tanks, with a combined capacity of 69 m3.

Reconnaissance Energy Namibia (REN) (Pty) Ltd (ReconAfrica), a subsidiary of Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd, holds petroleum exploration rights under Petroleum Exploration Licence (PEL) No. 73 within the Kavango Sedimentary Basin (KSB), which extends across the Kavango East and West Regions of northern Namibia. The company is currently undertaking oil and gas exploration and appraisal activities and plans to conduct production well testing operations for the Kavango West Exploration 1 (KW 1X) well, together with future exploration and appraisal wells within PEL No. 73.

The purpose of this application is to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate authorising Terminal Investment Namibia to undertake the operation and management of the Walvis Bay Container Terminal. The applicant would like to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate to be able to supply gravel materials to Nampower's 40 mw biomass power plant which is currently under construction about 5 km from the borrow pit.

PowerCom (Pty) Ltd hereinafter referred to as the proponent intends to construct a new lattice telecommunication tower in Masida village in the Linyati Constituency, Zambezi region. The piece of land will be leased by the Mafwe Traditional Authority. The proposed new telecommunication tower is part of the company’s strategic plan to increase network coverage nationwide. The proposed infrastructure include a lattice telecommunication tower made of steel materials (S355) as per the SABS0160 standards and will accommodate multiple antennas.

The applicant wishes to apply and obtain an Environmental clearance, this clearance will allow exploration work on the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 9887.
