In order to fulfil the requirements of the EMA and its 2012 EIA Mr. Naftal Shailemo appointed SS Consultants CC, an independent Environ-mental Consultant to conduct an Environmental Scoping Assessment (ESA), inclusive of public consultation for the proposed exploration activities on EPL 9887 in Erongo Region. The applicant wishes to apply and obtain an Environmental clearance, this clearance will allow exploration work on the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 9887. The primary interest will be to seek for dimension stone, base, rare, precious metals and industrial minerals, mineral groups within the license area. Under the 2012 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) (Act No. 7 of 2007) the Government has made a list of projects which need an environmental clearance like mining, and etc.
