The 66kV Obib - Lorelei transmission line, commissioned in 2002, extends over a distance of approximately 38 kilometres.
Under the Section 27 of the Environmental Management Act (Act No. 7 of 2007), any activity related to energy generation, transmission, and distribution is classified as a listed activity. As such, it requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) prior to commencement or continuation. In 2022, NamPower obtained an ECC for the operation and maintenance of the 220 kV Harib – Kokerboom 1 and 2 transmission lines. These lines form part of NamPower's national transmission network, facilitating electricity flow between the Harib and Kokerboom Substations in southern Namibia.
The application is made for the ECC Renewal : The Continued Operations of the Momentous Solar One 5MW Keetmanshoop Solar PV Park on Farm Spitskop No. 153, Keetmanshoop, //Karas Region, Namibia. Application is made in accordance with the EMA act no 7 of 2007 and its regulations of 2013.
ECC is for the construction and operations of a jetty and commissioning of a floating dry dock in Walvis Bay. The jetty and floating dry dock will be utilised for general vessel maintenance, supported by shore-based manufacturing and repair activities mainly related to oil and gas industry equipment.

The applicant intends to continue to explore the project area through non-invasive and invasive methods to determine if viable mineral deposits exist. It is foreseen that the exploration will include field mapping, surveying, literature review (non-invasive), drilling (invasive), trenching (invasive), Sampling, Analysis, Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation (non-invasive) over a period of an initial period of 3 years. The invasive activities would comprise digging of trenches and drilling of surface boreholes spaced from each other.

The applicant intends to continue to mine Lithium on the mining licence. Namibia's abundant industrial mineral resources are crucial for its economy, contributing significantly to GDP, foreign exchange earnings, and government revenue . The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mining and quarrying activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. As such, an environmental clearance certificate must be applied for in accordance with regulation 6 of the 2012 environmental regulations.
A proposed offshore exploration program that will utilize a drilling unit (drillship) to drill up to five (5) exploration wells and five (5) appraisal wells.
Timoyeni Investments Pty Ltd is proposing to develop a modern shopping mall in the coastal town of Luderitz. The mega mall will be constructed on urban land measuring about 14 665 square meters (1.4 ha) and has a footprint of about 7600 square meters of build up area. The development has triggered listed activities in terms of the Environmental Management Act and related EIA Regulations and therefore requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the design, construction and operational phases.
The ECC is required to undertake a listed activity in terms of the Environmental Management Act viz. hazardous substances treatment, handling and storage (Section 9.1 to 9.5). The promotor would like to establish a new fuel retail outlet (FRO) at the corner of D3236 and C35 gravel roads in the Outjo Districts, Kunene Region. The applicant has been granted a letter of intent for the project by the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy.
The objective is to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Proposed The Creation of a Right of Way Servitude for the Remainder of Portion 1 for Erf 927, Barbet Street Hochlandpark, Windhoek, Namibia. The erf measures 1452 m2 and is currently zoned as residential. Erf 927 is located in Barbet street, Hochlandpark. The erf comprises of one main dwelling with an adjoined garage and one dwelling unit. It is the intention of the owner to rezone from residential with a density of 1:700 to residential with a density of 1:500 and subdivide the erf into portion 1 and remainder.
Nani Import and Export cc intends to construct and operate a general storage facility and non-hazardous putty powder processing plant, located on portion 8 of remainder of farm 38, Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia. The proposed land portion measures approximately 90, 013 square meters (sqm2). The objective is to construct warehouses (ranging between 1000-2000 sqm2) designated for storage facilities, with one warehouse incorporating a processing plant dedicated to the production of putty powder.

Mr Jasper Theron Uys, hereinafter referred to as the proponent is the owner of Mining Claims 69977, 69978 and 69979 and was issued with an Environmental Clearance Certificate (APP2905) for small mining activities of base and rare metals, industrial minerals, precious metals, and semi-precious stones. The proponent was issued with an ECC on 2022-11-15 and expired on 2025-11-15. To ensure due diligence and compliance with the Environmental Management Act 07 of 2007 and its Regulations of February 2012, the proponent intends to apply for the renewal of the expired ECC.
