Abstract:

Kasaya Mining cc (herein referred to as the proponent), is a fully registered company in Namibia with interest in the prospecting and mining of mineral ore. Their aim is to take advantage of the opportunity for local beneficiation of Namibia mineral resources and job creation that exist in the mining sector of Namibia. Kasaya Mining, wishes to apply to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply with the prescribed environmental legislations of Namibia i.e. Environmental Management Act No. 7 of 2007 and its regulations. Principally, Kasaya Mining proposes to explore (desktop geological study, collection of bulk and or geological samples and identification of previous activity in the area where similar mineral mining were conducted) and to obtain bulk-samples for further laboratory analysis by use of hand-held equipment and to small degree drilling. In the event that viable mineral ore is discovered they wish to establish a small-scale mining operation.
