An amendment to the original environmental clearance certificate issued for the project. The proponent intends to divide the current 500ha irrigation project on farm Uris into four 125 ha portions. Each portion will be established on four individually owned farms surrounding farm Uris. However, the current amendment only covers three of the four farms. The fourth farm is reserved as a future site and the owner of that farm will be responsible to conduct a separate ESIA.

The proponent intends to set up a fuel service station ervens 18, 19 and 20 of remainder of 2292 in Keetmanshoop. The station will comprise of petroleum and diesel storage tanks and associated structures. The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no fuel depot or service may be established without an environmental clearance certificate. As such, an environmental clearance certificate must be applied for in accordance with regulation 6 of the 2012 environmental regulations.
The proponent was granted a mining licence (ML 223) and intends to set up a mining operation in an area consisting of mineralized pegmatites with viable concentrations of tantalite. The proposed area is located within the boundaries of Mining Licence 223. In support of the mining activities, the proponent intends to set up and improve gravel roads leading to the mine, construct a waterline to the mine and set up a powerline from Warmbad to the mine.
The applicant intends to mine copper ore from the Mining Licence. It is foreseen that the mining activities will include loading, hauling, crushing and processing. The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mineral exploration and mining activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. The proposed prospecting activities are listed in the Environmental Management Act, 2007, (Act No. 7 of 2007) and the EIA Regulations 30 of 2012 and cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).

Galore Trading cc (Galore) has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 8735, located ±20 km northheast of Arandis, in the Erongo Region. EPL 8735 is 9003 Hectares (ha) in size. The land on which the EPL is located, falls part of the Arandis Constituency. Galore is planning exploration activities on the EPL. Preliminary activities such as geophysics, mapping, scouting exercises, soil sampling, as well as future drilling activities are planned for the area.
LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES 5.1 The rezoning of land from: (d) use for nature conservation or zoned open (perceived as a public space) space to any other land use.

The Karibib Town Council (KTC) has resolved to initiate the process of identifying a new Municipal Waste Disposal Site, which will be formalised through an Environmental Impact Assessment and subsequent design and construction. The existing dumping site will then be closed. It is Council’s intention to finalise the processes culminating into the new landfill site during the period of validity of the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the existing dumping site.
The Proponent proposes to upgrade the existing water supply schemes at Rundu and Nkarapamwe (inclusive of construction of a new water treatment plant at Rundu with a capacity of 1 800 m³/h, upgrading of water supply abstraction, reservoirs and conveyance systems) and the decommissioning of the old water treatment plant and associated redundant infrastructure at Rundu. Rundu is the largest town in the Kavango East Region; it is situated on the southern side of the Okavango River on the border with Angola.

Namibia Non-Ferrous East China Mineral Exploration and Development (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Namibia Non-Ferrous) was successfully granted an Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 3365 in 2017, with a validity period until 2020, located near Rehoboth, in the Windhoek District, Hardap/Khomas Region. EPL 3365 is approximately 31,000 Hectares (ha) in size. Namibia Non-Ferrous previously conducted surface work and researches on potential areas in the field before drilling, such as geological survey (revision), geophysical survey and trenches n 2018/2019.
