We are a transporting company. We want to install a diesel tank at our premises to make it easier to refuel our trucks before they go on the road. The tank will be a self containment tank, spillage will be prevented. It will also be an above ground tank.
The applicant intends to explore the project area through non-invasive and invasive methods to determine if viable mineral deposits exist. It is foreseen that the exploration will include field mapping, surveying, literature review (non-invasive), drilling (invasive), trenching (invasive), Sampling, Analysis, Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation (non-invasive) over a period of an initial period of 3 years. The renewal of Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the construction and operation of low and medium voltage distribution lines in Oshikoto Region as part of the national Rural Electrification (RE) projects. An ECC was issued in 2019 and expired in October 2022, NamPower seek the renewal of the ECC to include one (1) new project in Oshikoto Region. The area extent in (Ha) covered by all Rural Electrification projects (Existing and new projects combined) constructed by NamPower in Oshikoto is 118 ha.
Continuation of the abstraction of seawater, treatment of the water at the desalination plant for bulk supply of potable water, the discharge of brine back into the sea and associated activities.
