Overview: Bush camp on the eastern bank of a channel of the Kwando River in the Mayuni Conservancy of the Zambezi Region: Background: Losange Lodges t/a Camp Kwando, was one of the first lodges in the Zambezi Region to open its doors to tourists in 1993. It is situated on the eastern banks of the Kwando River wetland ecosystem north of Mudumu National Park. The Proponent operates and provides a rustic hospitality destination to predominantly the European tourist market at Camp Kwando on the C49, ca.
The applicant intends to explore the project area through non-invasive and invasive methods to determine if viable mineral deposits exist. It is foreseen that the exploration will include field mapping, surveying, literature review (non-invasive), drilling (invasive), trenching (invasive), Sampling, Analysis, Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation (non-invasive) over a period of an initial period of 3 years. The invasive activities would comprise digging of trenches and drilling of surface boreholes spaced from each other.

The applicant wishes to apply and obtain an Environmental clearance, this clearance will allow exploration work on the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 9825. The primary interest will be to seek for base, rare, precious metals, industrial minerals, and dimension stone mineral groups within the license area. Under the 2012 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) (Act No. 7 of 2007) the Government has made a list of projects which need an environmental clearance like mining, thermal power plants, infrastructure etc.
The Oranjemund Town Council supplies freshwater to the town and surrounding areas with groundwater abstracted from 10 boreholes and 1 x Felhmann well located on the bank of Orange River. The water is pumped to the treatment plant consisting of central Swartkops reservoir from where is fed by gravitation to the town reservoirs, and further distributed to the town and Namdeb Mining Area 1 Reclamation Plant. The ORTC) was issued with a water abstraction permit by the department of water affairs to abstract a maximum of 22,000 m3/day (Water abstraction permit no:10862).

For the closure of a Portion of Mandume Ya Ndemufayo Street, Swakopmund to create a new erf to accommodate the existing Mandume substation. This will allow for the transfer of the new erf from the name Municipality of Swakopmund to the name of Erongo Red.

The Epukiro POS 3 is small settlement located in Epukiro constituency in Omahake region and has a population of about 2000 people as of 2025. The settlement has a sewage system consisting of pump station and oxidation ponds. However, the existing sewage system is in a poor state, not properly functional and totally overloaded. The poor state of the sewage system is evident from overflow of raw sewage and overgrown vegetation covering the oxidation ponds. The Omaheke Regional Council, in collaboration with relevant authorities, proposes to construct a new oxidation pond.
Oranjemund Town Council has been experiencing difficulties in maintaining their gravel and surfaced road network, primarily due to insufficient funding, which has led to the deterioration of their road infrastructure to a state having potential safety concerns to the road users. Due to a lack of sufficient funding, Oranjemund Town Council approached the Road Fund Administration for funding, which was approved under the MOA Agreement. One of the roads requiring urgent repairs is the road providing access to the Oranjemund Airport, off the MR118 road.
