The Proponent (City of Windhoek) requires a renewed ECC No. 10431 granted on the 26th September 2022 and expired on the 26th September 2025 with respect to the proposed new and rerouting of existing City of Windhoek (Proponent) 66kV overhead powerlines networks linking Goreangab Load Centre (L/C) and Dam Wall L/C to the new Khomas Substation (Ss) around Goreangab Dam, Windhoek, Khomas Region. The Proponent is proposing to undertake the following activities: (i) New overhead powerlines to be constructed covers: 66kV Haloid L/C line Tie-In point to Dam Wall L/C Tie-In point: 3.88 km.

Listed activities triggered by the project include: LISTED ACTIVITY EIA SCREENING FINDING 8. WATER RESOURCE DEVELOPMENTS (8.1) The abstraction of ground or surface water for industrial or commercial purposes. (8.7) Irrigation schemes for agriculture excluding domestic irrigation. - Water abstraction from five (5) nearby boreholes will be required for the Project. The groundwater demand has been estimated at a maximum of one (1) million cubic meters per annum (Mm3/a) for each of the two (2) planned cultivation phases.

6 Nov 2009 ECC granted For the Omeya Golf Estate - This application is for the renewal and transfer of the ECC to Omeya Infrastructure Company, for the operation of the Omeya Residential and Golf Estate Infrastructure.

The applicant would like to construct and to operate a modern fuel retail outlet and has been granted a letter of intent by the line ministry. The fuel outlet will be complemented by a convenience store, a car wash and ample parking for clients. The proposed development has triggered these activities: Section 9.5 of the eia regulations - "construction of filling station stations or any other facility for the underground and aboveground storage of dangerous goods, including petrol, diesel, liquid, gas or paraffin".

The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mineral exploration and mining activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. The proposed prospecting activities are listed in the Environmental Management Act, 2007, (Act No. 7 of 2007) and the EIA Regulations 30 of 2012 and cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).

Existing Charcoal Production Operation of Huaneng Investment (Pty) Ltd on Farm Poole 335B, D2779 Road, Outjo District, Kunene Region, Namibia. Nature of Activity: The existing Huaneng Charcoal Production Operation involves harvesting of fresh woods or timber of diameter-size of up to 22 mm from permitted tree species (C. mopane, A. mellifera, A. reficiens and T. prunioides) on Farm Poole 335B, since commencement or resumption of operation in April 2025. The harvested woods are transported from the field to a charcoal production site within the same farm.

Oranjemund is a unique, formerly closed diamond-mining town in southwestern Namibia, located at the mouth of the Orange River bordering South Africa. The area around Oranjemund has been regarded as a restricted area under the Declaration Diamond Area No.1 until withdraw by the Government Notice No. 97 of 2000. The mining of gravel or base material is one of the key activities of the town operations as it provides essential raw material (aggregates) for the construction industry and infrastructure development, such as roads and buildings.
