Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd intends to apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for their proposed irrigation activities, located on a piece of land measuring ±253.9 hectares (ha), along the south eastern banks of the Okavango River, in Divundu Settlement. The proposed project aims to produce blue berries (large-scale production) and avocado (small-scale production) over four (4) phases.

MINING AND QUARRYING ACTIVITIES (3.1) The construction of facilities for any process or activities which requires a licence, right or other forms of authorisation, and the renewal of a licence, right or other forms of authorisation, in terms of the Minerals (Prospecting and Mining Act), 1992. (3.2) Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not.
The Environmental Clearance Certificate is for the rezoning of Erf R/8161 from Government to Industrial. Erf R/8161 is located within the southern industrial area of Windhoek.
Berseba Village Council previously obtained ECC in order to conduct township establishment within Berseba. The ECC had lapsed and therefore Berseba needs to renew their ECC to continue with the township establishment.
Renewal of the ECC.
The renewal of Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the construction and operation of low and medium voltage distribution lines in Kavango East Region as part of the national Rural Electrification (RE) projects. An ECC was issued in 2019 and expired in October 2022, NamPower seek the renewal of the ECC to include one (1) new project in Kavango East Region. The area extent in (Ha) include five (5) existing lines and one (1) new proposed line in Kavango East Region.

Proposed construction and operation of a copper processing plant.
NEW APPLICATION for Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC): Quarrying and extraction of white marble blocks for dimension stone production on Mining License (ML) 211 on Farm Okatjimukoju no. 55 in the Karibib District, Erongo Region - Namibia.
The ECC is necessary in terms of the Environmental Management Act for the Township Establishment on any portion of land where new infrastructure is to be created and services installed.

FORESTRY ACTIVITIES (4) The clearance of forest areas, deforestation, aforestation, timber harvesting or any other related activity that requires authorisation in term of the Forest Act, 2001 (Act No. 12 of 2001) or any other law. Limited vegetation clearing of bush-encroached areas may be required for tracks and survey access creation, and possibly for the set up for survey teams' field camps.
