The project at Epembe, Ohangwena Region, Namibia, involves the development of a new secondary school by the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, designed to accommodate up to 600 learners, including a hostel and teacher housing, on a 20-hectare site located at 17°47'00"S, 16°27'00"E.
Development Workshop Namibia (DWN) has selected five infrastructure projects in Karibib. The projects include four sewer projects and one electricity project. By using defined selection criteria and a selection process that included Karibib Town Council. It is suggested that these five projects provide the best option available with the available funds. Usab Extension 6 is DWN Component 1 project area in Karibib. It is a neighborhood with 306 residential plots, of which 60 have been serviced with water and sewer and sold.
The DWN component 1 project area comprises of two project sites, with a total of approximately 600 plots. These components 1 project areas are adjacent to the Ndama informal settlement, where GIZ has been implementing an urban upgrading project. Rundu Town Council (RTC) is providing some important bulk infrastructure to a borehole close to the component 1 project area, including graveling of a road and providing a powerline supply to the existing borehole.
Purpose of the ECC for EPL 10173 The Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) is a mandatory requirement for Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 10173, held by Frampton Investment CC. It ensures that prospecting activities in the Kunene Region, Opuwo Magisterial District, comply with environmental regulations and are conducted responsibly. Key Purposes of the ECC Authorization of Prospecting Activities: The ECC formally permits Frampton Investment CC to conduct prospecting activities, including drilling, trenching, and sampling, within the 19,680.7221-hectare area.
The project involves the establishment of a sophisticated bio-processing facility by Virgo Biotechnology Pty Ltd, a Namibian-owned enterprise, for the sustainable valorization of marine mammal biomass, specifically Cape Fur Seals (Arctocephalus pusillus pusillus). This industrial initiative, located on Portion 105 of Henties Bay Townland No. 133, encompasses a 25-hectare site designed to integrate advanced biotechnological processes for comprehensive resource utilization.
The ECC is required for Upgrading MR76 from Gravel Road Standards to Bitumen Road Standards. Numerous road upgrades are taking place in and around the town of Rundu - Kavango East Region. The construction of these roads require suitable material for the layer works as well as the surface. Suitable materials are very difficult to obtain in this area of Namibia and the sources are limited. During the site visit the Roads Authority together with the contractor and engineers identified one source suitable. This borrow pit is located approximately 10km south of Rundu and is known as the Ncuma road borrow pit.

The road between Rundu and Divundu is being rehabilitated and material is required for this operation. The only suitable material to be found is an existing borrow pit close to Divundu. This application is for permission to extract material from the existing borrow pit and to crush it on site. This material will be used for the road rehabilitation.
Proposed Mixed-Use Township Development in Henties Bay, Namibia Kandjumbi Construction and Plumbing CC is proposing to develop a mixed-use township on a 25-hectare site in Henties Bay, Namibia. The project will include 200 houses, a 3-star hotel, a shopping mall, institutional land use, and affordable student accommodations. The project is expected to create 350-450 permanent jobs and will be in line with the Henties Bay Zoning Scheme of 2021 and the Henties Bay structure plan.
The Dune 7 Concession, located within Dorob National Park in Walvis Bay, Namibia, has recently been awarded to Sandwich Dune Tours and Safari CC by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism Namibia. This concession has long been a popular recreational area, but its deteriorating state, characterized by littering, vandalized facilities, and inadequate infrastructure, has raised concerns among the public. In response, the Ministry undertook a renovation project to address these issues and improve the overall condition of the site.
This is a renewal application of an existing ECC for this project.
The project consists of three (3) sections A to C. Section A to C of bitumen surface standards to be removed, stockpiled, and reconstructed. Section A and B are located on the section of road in between the orange river and part of the Magalies mountain range, and after Sendelingsdrift mine. Section C is also a section constructed with high fills. The level of the road was increased by ± 7 metres, with 8 % superelevation. Section A, B are in the vicinity of Sendelingsdrift mine, next to the Orangeriver, sections C along the Auchas pass.

Due to the site’s location and potential for mosquitoes, flies, odour, the applicant has contracted Erongo Consulting Group to prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping report and Draft Environmental Management Plan for the proposed 2km 315mm closed purified effluent pipeline, which is only conditional upon the occupation of the buildings for residential development.

IHS Fund Two (Namibia GP) (Pty) Ltd (the applicant) intends to develop a new housing scheme that will comprise about 427 sectional title dwelling units next to the Dunes Mall on Erf 5748 Walvis Bay. The applicant has contracted Erongo Consulting Group to prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping report and Draft Environmental Management Plan. The units will be sold under a sectional title plan, which means that the streets will be privately owned and maintained by the body corporate, rather than by the Walvis Bay Municipality.
The proponent intends to run a salt mining business around 36 kilometers north of Henties Bay. Before the Minister of Mines and Energy can finalize the granting of the mining license, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism must provide compliance certification in the form of an Environmental Clearance.
