Purpose of the ECC for EPL 10173 The Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) is a mandatory requirement for Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 10173, held by Frampton Investment CC. It ensures that prospecting activities in the Kunene Region, Opuwo Magisterial District, comply with environmental regulations and are conducted responsibly. Key Purposes of the ECC Authorization of Prospecting Activities: The ECC formally permits Frampton Investment CC to conduct prospecting activities, including drilling, trenching, and sampling, within the 19,680.7221-hectare area. Environmental Impact Mitigation: Assesses and mitigates impacts such as: Land Disturbance: Soil erosion, habitat loss. Water Resources: Contamination, sedimentation. Biodiversity: Impacts on flora and fauna. Air Quality and Noise: Dust and noise from machinery. Social Impact Management: Addresses impacts on local communities, including livelihoods and cultural heritage, through stakeholder engagement and mitigation measures.
