Executive Summary: The acquisition of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) license is mandated under section 27 of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) of 2007. This requirement applies to all relevant projects. An EIA project report was prepared by NEMA-registered experts at the request of the proponent to assess the environmental impacts of a proposed agricultural technologies business on farm Henties Bay Townland No. 133 in Erongo Region. The EIA aims to identify both positive and negative environmental impacts associated with the project, which entails developing a modern farm including greenhouses, a packhouse, offices, solar panels, and waste management systems. The assessment involved site inspections, interviews, and a review of relevant literature. Key project activities include site preparation, construction of buildings and infrastructure, utilities installation, and farm operations. The EIA identified potential negative environmental impacts across construction, operation, and decommissioning phases and proposed mitigation measures. The report includes an Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMP).
