The project is expected to create 350-450 permanent jobs and will be in line with the Henties Bay Zoning Scheme of 2021 and the Henties Bay structure plan.
The Dune 7 Concession, located within Dorob National Park in Walvis Bay, Namibia, has recently been awarded to Sandwich Dune Tours and Safari CC by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism Namibia. The units will be sold under a sectional title plan, which means that the streets will be privately owned and maintained by the body corporate, rather than by the Walvis Bay Municipality.

The proponent intends to run a salt mining business around 36 kilometers north of Henties Bay. Before the Minister of Mines and Energy can finalize the granting of the mining license, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism must provide compliance certification in the form of an Environmental Clearance.
Erongo Consulting Group (Pty) Ltd was engaged by Interlogix Namibia (Pty) Ltd to compile an Environmental Management Plant (EMP) in accordance with the Environmental Management Act, No. 7 of 2007. Interlogix Namibia herein referred to as the “Interlogix” has been operating a warehouse in Walvis Bay since 2012. Interlogix Namibia, a regional provider of Project Management and Logistics services, is dedicated to operating in a manner that is environmentally friendly.
The proposed site is situated within Ondangwa Extension 5 on Erf 1713. The site is currently undeveloped. The proponent wishes to subdivide Erf 1713, Ondangwa Extension 5 into portion A and Remainder. Remainder Erf 1717 will continue to be used for industrial purposes. The subdivided Portion A will be used as part of the road in order for the trucks to have adequate manoeuvring space for a turning circle. The image below shows the scale of the portion that needs to be subdivided from Erf 1713 and the reason WINPLAN needs to conduct an EIA for this creation of street.
The owner of the respective two erven wishes to conduct township establishment on both erven (Tamariskia Erven 673 and RE 540, Extension 2, Swakopmund). the proposed township establishment triggers certain listed activities as per the Environmental Regulations.
To renew an ECC which was obtained the 30th November 2018 for an existing sand and gravel mine which is in operation and would like to continue in the future. The existing ECC Expires on the 30th November 2021.

The envisioned EMP for Q&J Namib Metals of Walvis Bay to assess environmental risks posed by their Scrap Yard operations, which include flame cutting, scrap recycling, and salvage operations. The site is situated on erf W2976, 27 8th Street East, Industrial, Walvis Bay. The envisioned EMP will help provide Q&J Namib Metals with options to ensure impacts of the normal operations are minimized. As such, the proponent requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as enshrined under the Environmental Management Act No.
Karas regional council wishes to establish townships within Aussenkehr, in order for the Planning Board to approve the Township Establishments, an clearance certificate is required.
In line with the environmental regulatory requirements and project registration, WINPLAN Town and Regional Planning Consultants was appointed by the Hardap Regional Council to carry out an environmental scoping assessment for the proposed establishment of the new extension and the subdivision of erven 677 and 678. The Townships includes certain activities that are listed as 'Listed Activities' according to Government Notice No. 29 of 6 February 2012, which requires that an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) be obtained from the office of the Environmental Commissioner.

It is for a renewal of a lapsed certificate for the Township Establishment on Portion 11 of the Remainder of the Farm Okahao, Townlands No. 989 as well as on Portions 3 and 4 of the Remainder of the Farm Okahao Townlands Extension 1213, Okahao (Omusati Region). The EEC expired in December 2020.

For Township Establishment of one new Extension in Tsandi (Omusati Region, Namibia).
It is the intention of the proponent to construct about 330 affordable housing units and related infrastructure on a 5- hectare portion of Erf 5757 Kuisebmond for the affordable housing project in Walvis Bay. The proposed site is an unsurveyed / unserviced 5-hectare and situated on the northern edge of Kuisebmond along Independence Avenue. It is currently planned that this erf be partially subdivided into single residential units.
The proponent is planning to embark on an Integrated Animal and Crop Farming initiative at Mubiza Village, which is some 30 km east of Katima Mlilo town, and is quite remote in the Zambezi Region of Namibia. Mwaka Integrated Farming CC has secured a 100-hectare piece of communal land to use for production of crop farming (agronomic) and crocodile rearing. The land of which is administered particularly by the local chiefs whose authority is governed by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development of Namibia. The proposed area is communal and quite remote in the Zambezi Region of Namibia.
The proposed project is aimed at closing off the Erven as Public Open Spaces and rezoning them to Private Open Spaces. They are located in Swakopmund Proper and measure the following: 379 (1000m2), 402 (982.82m2), 403 (296.87m2), 404 (1376.43m2) and 410 (3991m2). They are in Windhuker Street. Some of the Erven didn’t have access to which is why we needed to redesign them. The Erven have been lying dormant for decades and Council wish to sell them off to individuals, hence the rezoning and closure. They are being rezoned to Private Open Space in order to keep their recreational function.
The ECC application is for the construction of the proposed Swakopmund Smallholding Potable Water Reservoir, and it will consist of the following main elements: • Supply and installation of a prefabricated water treatment plant including all fittings and accessories: • Construction of a concrete storage tank The reservoir will be a reinforced concrete structure, and will have a round shape with a smooth surface. The round shape of the reservoir will result in the strongest and most cost effective solution.
The creation of a Public Street / Road on Portions 180 and 181 of Remainder of Portion B of Swakopmund Town and Townlands No. 41, that will givs access to some of the newly created portions. The proposed public street obtains direct access from Tsavorite Street, and Henties Bay Road. The proposed public street is designed to be an 18m. wide cul-de-sac street. The proposed public street is designed to Swakopmund Council, Ministry of Urban and Rural Development and accepted traffic engineering design standards.
