The primary objective is to establish a modern, eco-friendly development that aligns with local and international standards while boosting the socio-economic landscape of Henties Bay. Key Features: Land Use: A 25-hectare site south of Henties Bay, featuring 250 middle- and high-class houses, boutique hotels, a shopping mall, institutional land use, and public open spaces.
The proponent, Messrs Schmidtco Property Developers (Pty) Ltd, through Messrs Erongo Consulting Group, the Environmental Assessment Practitioner, is applying for the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for this township development project because it is a legal requirement under the Environmental Management Act (EMA) No. 7 of 2007 and the accompanying EIA Regulations (2012) in Namibia. The project involves substantial land use changes, construction, and development activities, which are likely to have significant environmental and social impacts. 1.
This application is for the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Green Hydrogen, Ammonia Production, and Chemical Storage Facility. The ECC is essential for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable development. The application encompasses several key components: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): The ECC process includes conducting a thorough EIA to assess potential environmental impacts, such as effects on air quality, water resources, soil, flora, fauna, and community health.
This application is for the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Development of a Net Zero Industrial Park: Wind Energy Farm Project at Arandis Townlands, Erongo Region, Namibia. This project is spearheaded by Zero Carbon Namibia and includes a 1GW wind and solar farm, a green hydrogen production facility, a green ammonia/green hydrogen export facility, and a green ammonia production facility. The ECC application is prepared in accordance with the Environmental Management Act (Act No. 7 of 2007) and specifically Regulation No. 29, Section 21.
Executive Summary: The acquisition of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) license is mandated under section 27 of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) of 2007. This requirement applies to all relevant projects. An EIA project report was prepared by NEMA-registered experts at the request of the proponent to assess the environmental impacts of a proposed agricultural technologies business on farm Henties Bay Townland No. 133 in Erongo Region.
The Locomotive and Wagon Workshop is a key component of the Net Zero Industrial Park project in Arandis Townlands, Namibia. Here’s an overview of what the workshop entails: Purpose Maintenance and Refurbishment: The workshop will be used for maintaining and refurbishing locomotives and wagons, ensuring they are operational and efficient. Hydrogen Conversion: It will also focus on converting locomotives and wagons to hydrogen power, aligning with the project's goal of reducing carbon emissions.
The Solar Facility within the Net Zero Industrial Park, the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) application is essential for: 1. Establishing a 1GW solar farm as part of the broader project’s clean energy initiative, which aims to produce renewable energy that will support the operations of the park, including hydrogen production and other facilities. 2. Ensuring the sustainable generation of solar power, which will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and support Namibia's green energy transition. 3.
Project Focus: This project centers on renewing the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for a proposed healthcare facility on a 1.5-hectare public open space (Erf 6288) in Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay, Namibia. Environmental Compliance Renewal: The rezoning from public open space to institutional use necessitates an updated EMP to demonstrate continued adherence to Namibia's Environmental Management Act (EMA) and the principles established at the Earth Summit.
The Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) is sought for the proposed mixed-use township development on Portion X, Henties Bay Townland No. 133, in the Erongo Region of Namibia. This certificate is necessary to obtain official approval from regulatory authorities, specifically the Ministry of Environment, Forestry & Tourism, confirming that the proposed development complies with environmental regulations and standards.
