The applicant intends to explore the project area through non-invasive and invasive methods to determine if viable mineral deposits exist. It is foreseen that the exploration will include field mapping, surveying, literature review (non-invasive), drilling (invasive), trenching (invasive), Sampling, Analysis, Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation (non-invasive) over a period of an initial period of 3 years. The invasive activities would comprise digging of trenches and drilling of surface boreholes spaced from each other.

To mine copper oxide with the 3 mining claims. The malachite mining project constitutes a malachite copper oxide deposit, located 40 km west northwest of Opuwo along the Steilrand Mountain range in Kaokoveld, north-western Namibia. The deposit occurs on communal land of Okanihova, within the Otjivero Conservancy (registration pending). The traditional authority under which the area falls is called the Maundu Traditional Authority.
ECC is for the Proposed Exploration Activities on Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) Area 9975 in the Omaheke Region. The EPL is for base and rare metals, industrial minerals, precious metals and semi-precious stones. The EPL is located on communal land used for agricultural purposes. It falls within the Otjombinde Communal Conservancy and Otjombinde Community Forest.

Following a review by the Ministry of Urban and Regional Planning Board, it was observed that the current Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for Kaisosi Extension 10 does not accurately reflect the nature of the submitted application. During the Board's deliberations, concerns were raised regarding whether the current ECC pertains specifically to the provision of municipal services for Extension 10 or whether it comprehensively covers the township establishment process as intended.

Nicolene Steyn (Mrs) has been granted a letter of intent by the Ministry of Mines and Energy to construct and to operate a new fuel service station and related amenities. The filling station will be construction at the intersection of District Road d854 and tourist route C19, on Portion 1 of Farm Witwater No. 139 situated in the District of Maltahöhe, Hardap Region. The filling station will be marketed and promoted as Sossus Express and will provide services to motorists traveling to and from Sossusvlei - one of Namibia's top tourist destinations.
ECC Renewal Application: TEEPNA and its Joint Venture (JV) Partners (at present Impact Oil and Gas, NAMCOR and QatarEnergy) hold an Exploration Right over Block 2913B. As part of the process of applying for offshore exploration and appraisal drilling activities in the Block, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process was undertaken, which culminated in the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) issuing an ECC for the proposed activities on 19 September 2019 (MEFT Ref No. ECC-00134).
Listed activities triggered by the project include: LISTED ACTIVITY EIA SCREENING FINDING MINING AND QUARRYING ACTIVITIES (3.2) Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not (3.3) Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation and related activities - The extraction of loose silica gravel will be used to provide this material to the nearby Sinomine Resource Group Tsumeb smelter, previously owned and operated by Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb (DPMT). The quarrying activities are estimated to be 3,000 Mt per month, including the fines.

This is an existing project that started operations in 2000, thus predating the promulgation of the Environmental Management Act (EMA), No. 7 of 2007. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries ,Water and Land Reform (MAFWLR), formerly the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR), holds an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) for marine aquaculture (mariculture) developments in Swakopmund, Erongo Region (ECC-2401234).
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2021 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the 66kV Otjikoto - Tsumeb transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 66kV Otjikoto - Tsumeb transmission line to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the 66kV Osona - Okahandja transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 66kV Osona - Okahandja line in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the Mariental - Gibeon transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for Mariental - Gibeon line to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. This ECC also includes Gibeon Substation.

NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 132kV Kokerboom - Namib line in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for existing 22kV Koichab T-off - Koichab in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.

NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for 22kV Karas T-off - Grünau and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for 22kV Karas T-off - Karasburg to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The powerlines from this reticulation system run from Karas T-off substation southwards to Karasburg Substation, Karasburg area, Warmbad substation and various supply points in //Karas region.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for 22kV Harib - Schonau to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The 22kV Harib - Schonau power line starts from Harib Substation and runs north-eastwards to Schonau in Warmbad area, //Karas region.

In 2018, NamPower obtained the ECC for the 132 kV Gerus - Whale Rock transmission line has since expired. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for 132kV Gerus - Whale Rock including Whale Rock Substation to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for 66kV Aus - Aus to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The 11kV Aus - Aus power line is 16.9 km in length.
Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as "energy distribution, transmission and generation" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for 66kV Aranos - Stampriet to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. This transmission line runs from Aranos substation to Stampriet substation in Hardap region and is 76.9 km in length. The line is constructed with wooden H - Pole structures.
