Namaqua Dwarf Adder

The Namaqua Dwarf Adder is the smallest adder in the world, reaching a max length of 25 cm.

They occur in the coastal dunes from Luderitz to Oranjamund. Unfortunately this species is threatened by mining, off-road driving and illegal collecting.

They are considered to be mildly venomous. Bites are not considered to be life threatening.
