Eastern Tiger Snake
The Eastern Tiger Snake is slender and orange-brown above with a series of black blotches on the body.
This snake spends the daytime under loose bark or in rocky crevices, emerging at night to hunt. Tiger snakes are semi-arboreal (tree dwelling) and mainly feed on sleeping lizards, small rodents and amphibians. They are often encountered after the rains.
Tiger snakes are mildly venomous,however the venom has no effect on man.
