Beetz's Tiger Snake

Beetz's Tiger Snake is slender and orange-brown above with a series of black blotches on the body.

Tiger snakes are semi-arboreal (tree dwelling) and mainly feed on sleeping lizards, small rodents and amphibians. This snake spends the daytime under loose bark or in rocky crevices, emerging at night to hunt.

Mildly venomous, but venom has no effect on man.
