NamibRand Safaris operates a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro-2 scientific weather station at the Wolwedans base. The Namib Desert Environmental Education Trust (NaDEET) maintains an Oregon Scientific WMR 200 Professional weather station at the Die Duine homestead. NaDEET are the custodians of this weather station, which was purchased by the NamibRand Nature Reserve to compliment the collection of scientific weather data on the Reserve.
