Red Enterprises (Pty) Ltd (The Proponent) applied for an Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 10542 from the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy (MIME) on 18 September 2024. The EPL cover a surface area of 621.3769 hectares (ha) and is located near Witkop, //Kharas Region (Figure 1), and cover (overlies) Farm Platrand 154, and Border 155 (Figure 2). The commencement of exploration activities on the EPL requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). The target commodities for this project are Base and Rare Metals, Industrial Minerals, Precious Metals, Semi-Precious Stones.
