The promoter, who is a small scale miner with a long history of mining semi-precious stones (tourmaline) in the Karibib Districts had pegged and registered three mining claims with MME. The Mining Claims were registered for semi-precious stones and an ECC has been granted (attached to the bid for easy reference). Given high demand for industrial minerals (lithium, tin and tantalite) and a toll-free processing plant planned to be constructed in the Karibib District, the promoter would like the Mining Commissioner to include industrial minerals included on the mining claim certificate.

A new fuel service station and related amenities at Linyanti Settlement.
C38 is the tourist road which starts from the town of Outjo up to the bitumen-surfaced B1 highway just outside Omuthiya, passing through ENP connecting the oldest three resorts of Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni (Fig: 3). The rationale to only upgrade C38 is because this road is mostly used by park personnel and service providers and therefore carries a higher percentage of daily traffic in the park. All fuel and food consumed in the park resorts is transported on this route.
