Abstract:

Star Merchandising has proposed to the Municipality of Gobabis to make serviced land directly available to the residents, where they have an option to build their own houses. The Municipality has resolved to allocate a portion of Portion 143 of Gobabis Townlands No. 114 to Star Merchandising CC for the establishment of a township in Nossobville where it will provide bulk infrastructure services to the erven for sale to the residents. The proponent appointed Environam Consultants Trading cc (ECT) to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in order to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the activity from the Office of the Environmental Commissioner in the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT).
