Mr. JHA Meyer has been granted 10 Mining Claims (MCs) located on his Farm Jerusalem No. 73 A, in the Karasburg District, Karas Region. The MCs are located in an area that is environmentally disturbed due to historical, both surface and underground, small-scale mining activities by RESAWA Minerals (Pty) Ltd (RESAWA), whereby two vertical shafts of 23m and 60m respectively have been sunk. In addition, abandoned fluorite from the past mining activities, is currently stockpiled on the mining area, along with trenches covering a distance of approximately 3 km that have been historically dug by RESAWA . The MCs are allocated and granted to Mr. Meyer, along the existing areas where mining has previously taken place - fluorspar stockpiles, vertical shafts, dug trenches and veins. It is against this background, Mr. JHA Meyer intends to submit an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the processing and sorting of the existing and already mined fluorspar stockpiles, with the primary aim of exporting these products and potentially further exploration of fluorspar in the existing shafts and along the dug trenches and veins within the MCs.
