Zhongbao Mining CC (The Proponent) applied for an Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) No.10819 from the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy (MIME) on 04 April 2025. The EPL cover a surface area of 49376.4077 hectares (ha) and is located near Bethanie, //Kharas Region (Figure 1), and cover (overlies) Farm Handvat 194, Oberndorf 43, Umub 42, Soramas reserve 40, Isaaksbrunn 71, Kosis 72, Kanas 77, Gangeis 70, Florsheim 69, and Bethanie Townlands 149 (Figure 2). The commencement of exploration activities on the EPL requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). The target commodities for this project are Base and Rare Metals, Dimension Stone, Industrial Minerals, Nuclear Fuel Minerals, Precious Metals, and Semi Precious Stones.
