Steeltide Investment (Pty) Ltd (The Proponent) has applied to the Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Forestry (MEFT) to be granted an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) EPL 10278. Excel Dynamic Solutions (Pty) Ltd (The Consultant) was appointed to act on behalf of the proponent in obtaining the ECC. The EPL covers a total surface area of 29977.8518 hectares (ha) and is located about 48 km north west of Kunene Region. The EPL covers a small portion of the Ombazu and Ombombo Conservancies, as shown in (Figure 2). The target commodities for prospecting and exploration are Base and Rare Metals, Dimension Stones, Industrial Minerals, Nuclear Fuel Minerals, and Precious Metals.
