DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITY(S) COVERED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE: 2.1 Title of the Activity Formalization and Township Establishment of Nuwerus and Bosduin Informal Areas 2.2 Location of Activity Portion 26/167 of Aranos, and Erven 129, 130 and 131, Sonara are located within the Aranos Town, Hardap Region. Coordinates: Latitude: -24.130718°, Longitude: 19.102083°. 2.3 Nature of Activity Construction of a mixed-use township consisting of various infrastructures (i.e. roads, electricity supply network, potable water supply network, waste water network etc.). 4. Scale and Scope of the Activity The Nuwerus and Bosduin Townships comprises of ±900 erven of a variety of land uses, i.e. residential, business and open spaces. Potable Water: Potable water will be supplied to each individual erf by extending the existing potable water network by the Aranos Town Council. Waste Water: A septic tank will be constructed for each Erf, which will be pumped by the Aranos Town Council and dispose at the existing oxidation ponds. Electricity: Bulk municipal electricity lines exist within the two informal areas, from which individual supply to each household will be provided. Household Waste: The Aranos Town Council will collect household waste from each household on a weekly basis and disposed at the Council's dump site. Access and Roads: Access to the Nuwerus and Bosduin Townships will be obtained via the existing road network of the larger townships (i.e. Sonara, Aranos and Rooiduin).
