Abstract:

Novice Business Consulting cc, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, has purchased a portion of land measuring 20.16 ha of the Katima Mulilo Town and Townlands No.1328, for township development consisting of 253 erven to beknown as John Mukaya Valley. The land is currently zoned undetermined; hence statutory town planning procedures should be applied for the subdivision of the Katima Mulilo Town and Townlands No.1328 in line with the Urban and Regional Planning Act 05 of 2018. The proposed activities will trigger certain activities listed under the Environmental Management Act of 2007 and its regulations (GN No. 30 of 2012), as activities that may not be undertaken without an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) being conducted and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) being obtained.
