Abstract:

To amend the current environmental clearance certificate and apply for the following changes to the activities: 1. Cessation of processing of graphite ore at the Okorusu mine site; 2. Cessation of graphite ore haulage from Okanjande mine site; 3. The construction and operation of a new REE processing plant upon the site of the current graphite processing plant; 4. The construction of a New Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) for the waste material from REE processing; 5. The haulage of REE ore from ML40, Ondoto near Ruacana, Kunene Region; 6. The haulage of REE product to Walvis Bay harbour for export.; 7. All other activities remain in place as per the 2016 Environmental Clearance Certificate.
