Facilities predating the EMA are required to ensure potential environmental impacts are minimised and managed, through the development and implementation a site-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMP).

The Okongo village Council has appointed Plantek Town and Regional Planner cc to subdivide Erf 103, Erf 345, and Erf 329, all located in Okongo proper. OKACOM through funding support obtained from the European Union under the Technical Assistance Program for Transboundary Water Management in the Cubango-Okavango River Basin. One of the core result areas pertains to improving governance through enhanced data and information availability. As such upgrading of existing hydrologic gauging station is one of the core activities that the programme want to accomplish within the OKACOM Member States i.e. Angola, Botswana and Namibia.
Star Merchandising has proposed to the Municipality of Gobabis to make serviced land directly available to the residents, where they have an option to build their own houses. The Municipality has resolved to allocate a portion of Portion 143 of Gobabis Townlands No. 114 to Star Merchandising CC for the establishment of a township in Nossobville where it will provide bulk infrastructure services to the erven for sale to the residents.
The increase in production will require additional power supply provided by NamPower. NamPower has indicated that the existing 66 kV line would not be able to meet the mine’s power requirements. As all power demands in the area are currently growing, these loads (including to the Sendelingsdrif Mine) would have a negative effect on the security of power supply to RPZC. A New 66 kV line to be constructed from Obib to Zincum substation at Rosh Pinah with the specific purpose of supplying the mine with adequate power.
The ECC is required for sourcing, storing, loading and transport of surface stones required gabion and pitching for slope stability and erosion protection on the bridges and culverts during the renovation and upgrading of the railway line between Usakos and Arandis. The stones are sourced from the surface of a slope of a mountain commonly known as Kettlebank in the Daures Constituency, Erongo. Extraction is manual labout using picks without any excavation being done.
ENGEN Namibia (Pty) Ltd is a leading marketer of liquid fuels and lubricants in the country. The company has invested in a fuel depot in Grootfontein. The facility ensures self-sufficiency to ENGEN in terms of the supply of its products to the whole of northern Namibia thus augmenting its supply chain. In terms of the Environmental Management Act 7 of 2007 (Government Notice No. 29), certain activities may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). This activity is included in the above-mentioned list.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) a section 21 company engaged in education, research, and Conservation activities wishes to register the CCF Bush PTY LTD, a company owned by the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Cubia Green Fields cc (herein after referred to as "the proponent") has since 2016, been operating an aquaculture (freshwater fish) farm and vegetable garden at Okashaningwa village in the Ruacana constituency of Omusati Region. The farm currently has 1 pond measuring about 2800 m² on average and has a potential to stocked up-to 1000 Catfish or 15000 Tilapia. The plan is to have 8 ponds with measurement of 2800 m² on Average. Hence, seven (7) more additional ponds will be constructed.
Peter Tshilumbu Tsheehama Gardening Project is a community gardening project that is situated in Oshikuku, Omusati region and it is operated by nine people (eight women and one women). The project requires an ECC to accompany the application for the leasehold certificate to Omusati region landboard.
Peace Garden Investments (PTY) Ltd., intends to construct and operate a fuel retail station and truck port on Portion 35 of Eenhana Townlands No. 859. The proposed development site is still undermined, hence Town Planning procedures will be applied for the subdivision of Eenhana Townlands No.859 into portion 35 and Remainder. Omuhoongo Investments cc realised an investment opportunity and successfully approached the Henties Bay Municipality to allocate them a portion of land to carry out the Township Establishment of Hentiesbaai Extension 15. In compliance with the legal requirements Omuhoongo Investments has obtained an ECC for their development in 2017. This ECC is now up for renewal and Omuhoongo Investments has appointed Environam Consultants Trading (ECT) to undertake the process of applying for the renewal on their behalf.
Southern Africa Railway (Pty) Ltd (SAR) owns and operates an aggregate processing plant situated on ERF 1501, Extension 6, Karibib, in the Erongo Region. In terms of section 27 of the Environmental Management Act, 2007 (Act 7 of 2007) listed activities may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).
