250730006186: Environmental Scoping Assessment (ESA) for the Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPLs) No. 9312 and 9313 located south of Opuwo, in Kunene Region, Namibia
Zanzan Mineral Resources Namibia (Pty) Ltd (The Proponent) has applied to the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy (MIME), to be granted the Exclusive Prospecting Licenses (EPLs) No. 9312 and 9313 on 16 February 2023. Excel Dynamic Solutions (Pty) Ltd (The Consultant) was appointed to act on behalf of the proponent in obtaining the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry & Tourism (MEFT). The EPLs overlies Okongoro, Orupupa, Otjindjerese and Otuzemba conservancies. EPL No. 9312 covers an area of 54,145.3286 hectares (ha) and EPL No. 9313 covers an area of 56,927.3207 hectares (ha). Both EPLs are located approximately 60 km southeast of Opuwo, in the Kunene region, as shown in (Figure 1). The target commodities for prospecting and exploration are Base and Rare Metals, Dimension Stone, Industrial Minerals and Precious Metals.
