Excel Dynamic Solutions (Pty) Ltd (The Consultant) was appointed by Armasi Mining (Pty) Ltd (The Proponent) to act on their behalf in obtaining the Environmental Clearence Certificate (ECC) for prospecting and exploration activities on Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 8702. The 6058.028 hectares EPL is located about 14 km east of Karibib in the Karibib constituency, Erongo region. The EPL (center coordinates; - 21.90829, 16.02349) overlies the following commercial farms: Neubrunn; farm no. 100, Otjimbojo west; farm no.47, Okakoara; farm no. 43, Dobbelsberg; farm no. 99 and Twinhill; farm no. 152. The target commodities for prospecting and exploration are Base and Rare metals, Dimension Stone, Industrial Minerals and Precious metals. Prospecting and exploration-related activities are among the listed activities that may not be undertaken without an ECC, under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, Therefore, to ensure that the proposed activity is compliant with the national environmental legislation, the project Proponent, appointed an independent environmental consultant, Excel Dynamic Solutions (Pty) Ltd, to undertake the required Environmental Assessment (EA) process and apply for the ECC on their behalf.
