WASTE MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT, HANDLING AND DISPOSAL ACTIVITIES (2.3) The import, processing, use and recycling, temporary storage, transit or export of waste - Waste generated which will be mainly solid and mineral waste and general waste and will be removed or disposed of at the approved facility. MINING AND QUARRYING ACTIVITIES (3.3) Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation and related activities - The proposed project requires environmental clearance from DEAF/MEFT for the calcite recovery system. HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE TREATMENT, HANDLING AND STORAGE (9.1) The manufacturing, storage, handling or processing of a hazardous substance is defined in the Hazardous Substances Ordinance, 1974. - The project will involve the storage and use of hazardous chemicals used for froth flotation. Volumes used will be less than 40 litres. All equipment will be bunded.
